Birmingham’s newly consolidated pro-business group’s name and mission will debut July 14 at a kickoff event at The Club.
The merger of the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce and Metropolitan Development Board will become official as the new organization plans to unite at the chamber’s headquarters on 20th Street North. The kickoff will start at 5 p.m.
The new group is designed to greater emphasize economic growth in the seven-county Birmingham region that includes Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Blount, Walker, Bibb and Chilton counties.
