A dozen highly successful Latino business owners are offering a hand to those just starting out through a new program created by the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The group, called the Latino Council, aims to assist and mentor the next generation of emerging business leaders.
The council will host executive roundtable meetings every other month that will bring training and advice from the council to up to 24 program participants.
"The Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is being proactive about advancing the growth of Hispanic business in Colorado," said Jeff Campos, president and chief executive of the chamber. "This program will provide a network of mentors to our small Hispanic businesses and an atmosphere where they can learn and ask questions from business owners who have been successful."
The council is made up of a virtual who's-who of the Latino business community and includes Anita Padilla Fitzgerald of Megastar Financial, Tim Marquez of Venoco Inc., Ivette Dominguez of Alpine Buick Pontiac GMC, Deborah Quintana of World Wide Money Exchange and Zee Ferrufino of KBNO Radio.
