The Marion County Chamber of Commerce recently unveiled a new DVD which features the best of what the county has to offer. The video is called “Make it Marion County.”
The 12-minute DVD will be used as a recruitment tool for the Chamber.
“We wanted to upgrade the Chamber’s presentation material,” said Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee Director Jamie Lawson. “We will be sending out the DVD to prospective residents and businesses.”
The Chamber’s current relocation packet includes piles of papers and brochures. The DVD is a way of compiling all the information in a convenient form.
“People are more likely to spend 12 minutes watching this DVD than five minutes reading through all of those papers,” said Lawson. “But (the original packet) will be available for those who still want it.”
Lawson also said this is a way to give back to the Chamber members.
“We will provide one DVD to every Chamber member,” he said.
The DVDs will also be available to purchase.
The video was created by Robert Dennis of Dennis Video Productions at a cost of over $3,500.
