In an effort to be more environmentally friendly and budget conscious, the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce is going “green”.
The change means the chamber will no longer send paper invitation to remind members of upcoming chamber events.
The chamber will continue to send e-mail reminders and the marquee in the front of the chamber office building, 1023 Highway 62 East, and use the chamber website calendar along with send press releases to advertise chamber and community events.
The Spirit newsletter, which has for several years been mailed to all businesses in Baxter and Marion counties, will also be converted to an e-mail format.
The chamber is asking all local businesses in Baxter and Marion counties — chamber members or not — to submit e-mail addresses for the newsletter database.
